Food Connections was a citywide food festival in Bristol (UK) of over 200 diverse events taking place over nine days in April and May. In 2015 Food Connections was an official European Green Capital partner and the BBC was the main media partner both years. The goal of the festival was to connect people to food through interactional and educational experiences based around the six main themes of Wellbeing, Land and Growing, Families, Brain Food, Get Cooking and Feasting and Festivities. 

Jenna’s role was to produce and deliver all the city centre events in 2014 and 2015. She turned the visions of the production team and festival partners into a reality on the ground. Events included a Producer’s Market of 80 traders, a Street Food Market of 25 traders, the Grow Festival, the BBC Food and Farming Awards, and experiential dining events in a pop up venue. 

Jenna was responsible for client liaison with all sponsors and partners, procurement and management of site infrastructure and service contracts, management of the production, site and volunteer teams, creation and management of a £200k budget, site build, break and live days management, Health and Safety and licensing, liaison with Bristol City Council, the police and the Cathedral, administration and management of 100 market traders, and content curation for educational events.  In 2015 she co Production managed the BBC Food and Farming Awards, and had a personal thank you on stage from the Director General of the BBC.
